Welcome to Lake Berkeley Chapel! Our worship will be led this week by Rev. Dr. Cyndi McDonald, Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church. A native of Georgia, this is Pastor Cyndi’s first appointment as pastor-in-charge. She earned her Master of Divinity degree from Candler School of Theology (Emory University). In her “former life” Pastor Cyndi was a finance professor at the University of Missouri-Columbia and Louisiana State University. Many people are surprised to learn her PhD is in business and not religious studies. Pastor Cyndi is married to Ed, and they have two sons, Matt and Mark. Before joining Mt Carmel, she was an Associate Minister at Marietta First United Methodist. She enjoys reading, baking bread, and running with the Pavement Pounders on Saturday mornings.
Immediately following the service, please join us for fellowship and a delicious breakfast which is being prepared and served by Amy & Stan Waldheim and Beth Gilbert.
As a reminder, there are friends and neighbors in the City of Berkeley Lake that are suffering hardship or illness. During the Chapel service, prayer requests are shared. Please let us know if you or someone you love should be included. Anyone on the Chapel Board can be contacted or e-mail can be sent to Chapel Board Secretary, Cindra Brown.
Monthly services are usually on the second Sunday, but please be sure to check our calendar just in case!
The officers and board members of the Lake Berkeley Chapel extend an invitation to our Berkeley Lake neighbors to join us in worship. Services are offered 8:30 am the second Sunday of each month. Coffee is ready by 8:15 am and breakfast is offered immediately following the service at approximately 9:15 am.
