Second Sunday Monthly - 8:30 am
Our next service is August 8, 2010 .
Sam Tapley is known to all of us through his music as a member of the Gospelites Music Ministry. But did you know that Sam served as a pastor of First Southern Methodist Church in Plant City, Florida for six years? He also served with the Tampa UM Men Prison Ministry. In addition to his music ministry, Sam leads the Transformers Sunday School at Mt. Carmel UMC. He and wife Jacque have been married four years and are grandparents to granddaughter Kaya, born Thanksgiving Day, 2009.
Sam’s topic will be from the ninth chapter of Acts, Saul’s conversion – his “new sight.” Mark your calendar and plan to attend the service this Sunday at Chapel. I know that Sam’s message will inspire us all.
Chefs this month are Kitty Dales, Harry Hollingsworth and John and Ginny Nevins. Coffee is always ready by 8:15. If you have summer guests visiting, they are welcome to attend too.
As a reminder, there are friends and neighbors in the City of Berkeley Lake that are suffering hardship or illness. During the Chapel service, prayer requests are shared. Please let us know if you or someone you love should be included. Anyone on the Chapel Board can be contacted or e-mail can be sent to Coracita@aol.com.
Monthly services are usually on the second Sunday, but please be sure to check our calendar just in case!
The officers and board members of the Lake Berkeley Chapel extend an invitation to our Berkeley Lake neighbors to join us in worship. Services are offered 8:30 am the second Sunday of each month. Coffee is ready by 8:15 am and breakfast is offered immediately following the service at approximately 9:15 am.
